COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
Our agency provides support to clients that allow them to participate in community activities. Specifically, Families For Families facilitates consumers' participation in community activities by integrating their Service Plans and individualized goals as much as possible while outside of the home. Community activities are settings other than the residential living environment of the participant. Our agency utilizes these community activities as a learning environment for our clients, to impart skills such as socialization with others from all walks of life, problem-solving, and improvement of current skills. Service providers support clients to achieve learning, improving, and retaining the various skills obtained in these community learning environments. These supports can either be provided one-on-one with agency service providers or in a group setting, whichever better achieves the goals of the clients’ Service Plan.
