Client Protocol

Protocols are documented, standardized procedures that tell staff exactly what to do in specific situations — especially emergencies like seizures, suicidal statements, allergic reactions, or other health and safety incidents. They matter because they ensure every client receives a consistent, appropriate response regardless of which staff member is present, reduce panic and confusion by replacing guesswork with clear steps, and most importantly, help keep clients safe by making sure the right actions happen quickly, in the right order, by the right people.

If an emergency protocol is initiated, please be sure to file an Incident Report in the Caregiver Portal within 24 hours to document the occurrence.
